I started my work experience as a labourer at the age of 15.  Being young and wanting to learn more I soon progressed onto operating diggers of various sizes and on various jobs sites, some of these sites included demolition, new build locations including but not exclusive to Wellington Hospital foundations and localised Wellington roading.  At the age of 21 I became a foreman, this involved management of staff and reporting back to the operations manager.  At the same time I also wanted to be able to transport my machinery to sites so I gained all available truck licences, including R.T.W.  In 2012 I changed companies and undertook an operations manager position within my family business.  During this time I learnt management of staff and sites, pricing of job sites, working to deadlines and working within budgets.
